I am involved on the leadership team for a young-adult Christian group who meets on Tuesday nights called RISE. Being given this role, I am responsible for helping with getting meetings together, leading a small-group for discussions and prayer, preparing and cleaning up for RISE every week, and going through the questions being asked in small-groups. I have been on the leadership team for RISE for almost over a year now, ever since we’ve gotten a new leader. It’s been a wonderful experience building community and fellowship with others and it’s a blessing to be able to help with it.

I also volunteer to work Wednesday nights for Harvest Connexion, the church I attend, to work in the nursery with the babies. I have been the lead teacher for this classroom for over a year now and I’ve enjoyed every moment spending time with the babies and becoming friends with the other teacher in the room. With this responsibility, I am sure to make sure that we are always watching the babies, keeping on top of feeding, changing, and anything asked of us from the parents. I’ve grown relationships with not just the babies, but also the parents and it’s really been wonderful to trust the parents and gain their trust in return to take care of and love their babies.
